A new product made by NPK Gidrofob Remsvyazmontazh - Horizontal Drilling Machine UGB-2M4 (GBM), October 2011ă


    A Horizontal Drilling Machine UGB-2M4 (GBM) is a new product of the NPK Gidrofob Remsvyazmontazh.
    The Machine UGB-2M4 (GBM) is intended for drilling horizontal and angular holes used in laying communication lines, water supply system, gas pipeline, cables of different purposes, when drilling is carried out under the motor roads at a distance up to 50m.
    The Machine can also be used for drilling vertical holes up to 50m depths.

The working visit of the Governor of Rostov Region Golubev V.U. and the Mayor of Volgodonsk Firsov V.A. NPK Gidrofob RSM, august 2011ă


    17 August, 2011 the Governor of Rostov Region Golubev V.U. and the mayor of Volgodonsk Firsov V.A. visited the research-and-productive complex Gidrofob Remsyvazmontaj within the working visit and with purpose to acquaint themselves with innovative enterprises of our town.
    The whole production range produced by the plant was shown to the visitors.
    Vasiliy Golubev paid special attention to a new product of the plant – a pipe destructor TR-1-80. It helps replace quickly old pipes made of steel, cast iron or reinforced concrete by new polyethylene pipes the lifespan of that practically is not limited.

The test of the machine UGNB-3M4 with a reamer of 600mm in diameter, June, 2011


    22 June, 2011 the NPK Gidrofob RSM probed Horizontal Directional Drilling Machine UGNB-3M4 enlarging the pilot hole up to 600mm in diameter.
    The hole drilling was performed step-by-step:
    - Pilot hole drilling;
    - Enlargement up to 250mm;
    - Enlargement up to 350mm;
    - Final enlargement up to 600mm.
    To load the machine UGNB-3M4 more, enlargement up to 450mm was skipped. However, the machine enlarged the hole up to 600mm in normal mode.

Participation in two international building exhibitions: Stroitelnaya tehnika i tehnologii'2011 (STT’2011) and CityPipe 2011, June, 2011


    From 31 May to 4 June the OOO NPK Gidrofob RSM participated in two international building exhibitions: Stroitelnaya tehnika i tehnologii'2011 (STT’2011) having the lead among annual international building machines and equipment exhibitions, and CityPipe 2011. Every year the forums become the main event in the sphere of building machines and equipment. Participants demonstrate their latest technical innovations and technological developments in the field of building construction, construction of roads and bridges, production, restoration and operation of special machinery, development and improvement of building equipment and, particularly, in operation of pipeline systems of municipal infrastructure.
    In the opening day of the forums it was underlined that they had been and were the place, where producers and customers met, all biggest representatives of the field gathered and important business tasks were settled. The OOO NPK Gidrofob displayed its production in three places at once, at two stands and one outside ground.

Participation in the international exhibition Svyaz-Ekspokomm 2011, May, 2011


    From 10 to 13 Ma the OOO NPK Gidrofob traditionally participated in the international exhibition Svyaz-Ekspokomm 2011. At the Forum participants demonstrated their latest advantages in the sphere of telecommunication business, the newest innovative equipment and technologies.
    At the exhibition opening the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, I.O. Shegolev, underlined the importance of the Forum as the most significant event in the sphere of communication and also drew attention to the innovation and modernity of the showed equipment and technologies.
    The OOO NPK Gidrofob didn’t participate in the Forum since 2008. So, a lot of innovative products in the sphere of Horizontal Directional Drilling were accumulated for three years. A number of new equipment was created; the existing samples of the machinery were completely modernized.

Master class with OAO Rostovoblgaz in Volgodonsk, April 2011.


     14 April, 2011 a seminar-master class on the subject: “Drilling equipment and modern production technologies” was carried out on the base of the drilling equipment plant OOO NPK Gidrofob RSM.
    Representatives of 10 branches of Rostovoblgaz from cities and regions of Rostov Region – Semikarakorsk, Belaya Kalitva, Rodionovo- Nesvitayskaya, Veshenskaya, Orlovskaya, Gukovo, Salsk, Zernograd, Donetsk and Millerovo – participated in the seminar.
    During the seminar the participants saw the equipment produced by the OOO NPK Gidrofob RSM – UGB-2; UGNB-3M4; UGNB-4.
    The participants of the seminar practically tried out the machine UGB-2; 10 such machines were bought by Rostovoblgaz for its branches.
    During practical works a bore hole 12m length and 110mm in diameter was drilled. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes; off-path jogging was at most 10 centimeters. It took 4-6 working hours on the average to drill a bore hole 22-24m length and 160mm in diameter. The time depended on soil type.

OAO UTK held a seminar in Rostov, January, 2011


    The OOO NPK Gidrofob participated in the seminar held by the OAO UTK on 27 January, 2011 in Rostov.

    The Director of the OOO NPK Gidrofob made a report on the subject “Restoration and encapsulation of trunk lines and cables with polyethylene insulation technologies”, and also carried out a master class on restoration of cables with polyethylene insulation by the means of the machine UVK-MM-2 and Hydrophobic filler GFZ-K-NTof its own production.

Trenchless communications laying by the machine UGNB-4 of own production in Svetlograd, Stavropol Territory, January, 2011.


    The pipe for a free-flow sewerage system was laid by the order of Svetlograd administration. The pipe declined on 3-4mm per a meter.
    The whole length of the pipes was 536 meters, 4 pipes of the tubing were laid 200, 100, 200 and 36 meters length. The plastic pipe 225mm in diameter, SDR 13,6 was pulled. The pipeline laying depth varied from 2.5m to 5.6m.
    The type of the soil was loamy sand. The ground consisted of 70-80% of sand. The main difficulties were deep occurrence of underground waters and bogged soil.

A new product made by NPK Gidrofob – a pipe destructor, December, 2010.


    The OOO NPK Gidrofob has put its latest development – the pipe destructor – into series production. Such a machine is the first and the only domestic product of such nature to date.
    In cramped urban conditions there is no free place to lay communications near old pipelines very often. More than that, the ban on spoiling covering of roadways is coming into effect little by little and also on the works carried out by a cut-and-cover method. In these conditions the rehabilitation of the pipelines by the method of destruction is the only alternative.
    The destruction is the most commonly used method among other methods of restoration of old pipelines, including a pipe-in-pipe technology and others. By the means of the hydraulic destructor old pipes made of steel, cast iron or reinforced concrete are quickly replaced by new polyethylene pipes with practically unlimited lifespan.

    7 December, 2010 is a remarkable day for the OOO NPK Gidrofob. Interregional Public Association Union – Federation of Consumer Societies of Rostov Region – awarded our company The Certificate of High consumer evaluation and the Mark of South-Russian Quality. The President of South-Russian Club of Honest Business A.V. Firsov, The President of Federation of Consumer Societies of South Region A.N. Doljenko, The President of Municipal Public Organization – Volgodonsk Consumer Association – T.V. Dodonova and other representatives of public and commercial organization of our town participated in the solemn occasion. A number of important aspects was noted in the reports:
    - The OOO NPK Gidrofob is the only Russian producer of equipment for Horizontal Directional Drilling;
    - The wide range and equipment reliability;
    - The wide geographical coverage of the territory: the equipment is delivered all over Russia from Belgorod to Nahodka, from Yakutsk to Krasnodar;
    - The OOO NPK Gidrofob has a broad experience both in production of equipment and carrying out works on Horizontal Directional Drilling.
    Also it was proposed that the OOO NPK Gidrofob should join the South-Russian Club of Honest Business in the nearest future.

Trenchless communications laying by the machine UGNB-4 of own production in Volgodonsk, November, 2010


    Two metal case pipes 425mm in diameter were laid by HDD method, by the order of PSK UniversalStroy in Volgodonsk.
    The type of the soil was loamy soil.
    The ground consisted of 80% of clay.
    The works were carried out for laying the outside heat supply network in the area of K. Marksa Street, where The Parish of The Nativity of Christ was situated. There were about 8 different types of communication networks of laying different depth, and gas pipelines of middle and low pressure were among them. The length of each pipe was 36 meters. The work was carried out and completed for 2 days.

OAO UTK held a seminar in Rostov, November, 2010


    OOO NPK Gidrofob participated in the seminar held by OAO UTK on 26 November, 2010 in Rostov.
    Director of the NPK Gidrofob, the Candidate of Economic Science, the Corresponding Member of Peter's Academy of Arts and Sciences Voznuk V.N. and Senior Engineer Vasin E.V. participated in the seminar.
    The Director of the OOO NPK Gidrofob made a report on the subject “Restoration and encapsulation of trunk lines and cables with polyethylene insulation technologies”, and also carried out a master class on restoration of cables with polyethylene insulation by the means of the machine UVK-MM-2 and Hydrophobic filler GFZ-K-NT of its own production.
    The master-class attracted interest and specialists of Rostovelektrosvyaz expressed their opinion that it had great practical meaning in the sphere of resource saving technologies. Also the quantity of the Hydrophobic filler required for operating the machine UVK-MM-2 during one season was detected.

Trenchless communications laying by the machine UGNB-4 of own production in Volgodonsk, November, 2010


    A bore hole was drilled by the HDD method, and the metal pipe 250mm in diameter was pulled there by the order of OOO Donremstroy (LCC) in Volgodonsk.
    The type of the soil was loamy soil. The ground consisted of 80% of clay.
    The works were carried out in the area of Beregovaya Street, where there were about 6 different types of communication networks of different laying depth. The bore hole length was 40 meters. The work was carried out and completed for 8 hours.

Participation in the scientific and technical conference Cables and cable lines-2010. Systematic approach to projecting and building, September, 2010


    The representatives of the OOO NPK Gidrofob and the OOO NPK Gidrofob Remsvyazmontaj participated in the scientific and technical conference Cables and cable lines-2010. Systematic approach to projecting and building, held from 20 to 24 September.
    The conference was held in Anapa. More than 100 representatives of such firms as OAO UTK, NOU Lentelefonstroy-UVC, OOO Electrocabel, ZAO Svyazstroydetal and so on, participated in the conference. The NPK Gidrofob was represented at the conference by General Director Voznuk N.M, Director Voznuk V.N and Senior Engineer Vasin E.V.
    During the conference one day was devoted to making an acquaintance with products and working experience of the OOO NPK Gidrofob. The representatives of the NPK Gidrofob considered theoretical and practical problems of cable line restoration by the method of filling cables with hydrophobic filler. Also a workshop on using the machine UVK-MM-2 of own production with own hydrophobic filler was held.

    The second theoretical and practical seminar Innovative developments in the sphere of Horizontal directional Drilling (HDD). Researches, developments, adoption was held on the base of the drilling equipment plant Gidrofob RSM in September, 2010.
    The Head of the cable laboratory at LONIIS, Professor and Academician at Peter’s Academy of Science and Arts Parfenov U.A., General Director of the NPK Gidrofob, The Candidate of Economic Science Voznuk V.N., the representatives of OAO Volgatelekom, OAO Rostovoblgaz, OOO VESTA-NN and other interested businesses and organization participated in the seminar.
    During the seminar the following theoretical and practical problems were considered:
- methods of trenchless communications laying;
- features of horizontal directional drilling in different soils and in cramped, urban conditions;
- preparation for horizontal directional drilling with involving modern telemetering location devices and using drilling bentonite fluids.
    Different equipment for trenchless communication laying of own production were demonstrated to the participants of the seminar.

Just one step from an idea to its adoption, August, 2010


    The NPK Gidrofob held a number of master-classes and technical panels in Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region from 10 to 13 August, 2010.
    In Krasnodar the technical panel was held the participants of that were OAO UTK, represented by Technical Director Petrenko Vladimir Nikolayevich and the OOO NPK Gidrofob, represented by General Director Voznuk Nikolay Moiseevich. The matters of resource saving technologies and trenchless communication laying were discussed, the mutually advantageous cooperation plan between OAO UTK and the NPK Gidrofob for 2010-2011 was worked out.
    At the same time The Candidate of Economic Science, the Corresponding Member of Peter's Academy of Arts and Sciences Voznuk V.N. and Senior Engineer Vasin E.V gave a report on the subject “Restoration and encapsulation of trunk lines and cables with polyethylene insulation technologies” for the directors and postal and telecommunications workers of Adyghe Republic.
    In the end, the master-class on restoration of cables with polyethylene insulation by the means of the machine UVK-MM-2 and hydrophobic filler GFZ-K-NT of own production was held for all technicians of Adyghe Republic.
    The participants of the master class were extremely interested in the technology, a lot of practical questions on using such technology for Adyghe networks were asked and then considered. The held master-class had a great practical meaning; plans for further collaboration in the sphere of adoption and promotion of the technology at networks of OAO UTK were discussed.

    12 August, 2010 in Krasnodar the NPK Gidrofob held a technical panel with OAO Krasnodarkraygaz, represented by Technical Director Shegolev Sergey Eduardovich.
    The actual matters of controllable horizontal directional drilling were considered; the line of the products devoted to the direction was shown by the NPK Gidrofob.

    3 August, 2010 in Rostov-on-Don the NPK Gidrofob held a technical panel with OAO Gazprom, represented by Main Deputy Director General on Legal and Corporative Work Petlyakov Sergey Vladimirovich.
    The line of the products devoted to the HDD direction was shown by the NPK Gidrofob RSM.
    General Director of NPK Gidrofob RSM Voznuk Vladimir Nikolayevich gave a report on the subject Actual problems of controllable horizontal directional drilling in urban conditions, passing below canals and rivers when laying different communications by the HDD method.
    At the panel prospects of collaboration, mutual education, technical support, support manning of the NPK Gidrofob RSM equipment were worked out. The panel aroused a great interest of OAO Rostovoblgaz workers.

Trenchless communications laying by the HDD method in Volgodonsk, July, 2010.


    The drilling works were done under 30 let Pobedy Street (the center of the town) by the HDD method, by the order of OOO Anna. The polyethylene pipe 160mm in diameter was pulled, it declines on 1cm per 1 meter of the pipe length. The drilling was complicated by a lot of existing communications located both side-by-side and perpendicular to the tubing path. The pipe length was 120 meters; the depth was from 3 to 4 meters.
    The type of the soil was loamy soil.
    The ground consisted of 80% of clay.
    There were some water-logged grounds. Pulp removal was complicated due to heavy traffic.
    One more bore hole was drilled for the water supply system at the same place. During the drilling the pipe 110mm in diameter was pulled. The drilling was complicated by a lot of existing communications located both side-by-side and perpendicular to the tubing path, as well.
    The pipe length was 120meters; its depth was 2.3 meter.
    The type of the soil was loamy soil. The ground consisted of 80% of clay. There were some water-logged grounds.
    The whole work was carried out and completed for 2 days.

    The drilling works were done under the road at Prospect Mira Street by the HDD method, by the order of a private entrepreneur. The polyethylene pipe 200mm in diameter for the water supply system was pulled into the bore hole.
    The type of the soil was loamy soil. The ground consisted of 80% of clay.
    The pipe length was 26 meters; the depth was from 1.5 to 2 meters. The drilling was complicated by the existing communications including the gas pipe of medium pressure. The work was carried out and completed for 5 hours.

Participation in the international exhibition of trenchless technologies No-Dig2010


    The research - and - production complex Gidrofob Remszvyazmontaj as a domestic producer of Horizontal Directional Drilling equipment demonstrated its products at The International exhibition of trenchless technologies No-Dig2010 held in the Krokus Ekspo, Moscow from 1 to 4 June 2010.
    HDD equipment of the world’s biggest producers was shown there.
    The equipment displayed by the NPK Gidrofob aroused the HDD professionals’ great interest. Special attention was devoted to a NEW modernized machine UGNB-3M4, practically not having competitors in quality and price at the world market. The ditch-type machine is intended for controllable horizontal directional drilling at a distance up to 200m with further enlargement up to 450mm in diameter. An oil-pumping station has two variants of packaging arrangement: in the first case the apparatus has a domestic engine, in the other – the apparatus has an import engine. The hydraulic part is built using a regulated type hydraulic motor Sauer-Danfoss. The price of the whole complex UGNB-3M4 is 4.7 million rubles, that is much lower than prices for similar machines of both domestic and import production.

    A bore hole was drilled for the sewerage system laying under the road by the HDD method. The works were done by the order of a private entrepreneur at the address – Pochtovyi Street.
    The type of the soil is loamy soils (consisting of 80% of clay).
    The bore hole length was 70 meters, the hole depth varied from 1.5 to 3.5 meters. A polyethylene pipe for the sewerage system 110mm in diameter was pulled there. The works were complicated by two existing telephone cables, the water supply system, and a drive cable of 0.4 kW. The works were done and completed for 5 hours.

    The bore hole was drilled under a loop road near factory by the HDD method. The works were made by the order of OOO VKDP.
    The soil type is loamy soil (consisting of 80% of clay).
    The hole length was 50 meters, the hole depth varied from 1.5 to 3.5 meters. Two polyethylene pipes 75mm in diameter were pulled there. The works were complicated by a lot of underground communications, including the gas line of medium pressure. The works were done and completed for 3 hours.

    By the order of PSK Artemida-Don a bore hole was drilled by the HDD method at Drujby Street, Volgodonsk. The work was made for communications laying for a new shop under construction.
    The type of the soil is loamy soil (consisting of 80% of clay).
    The length of the bore hole is 50 meters, the hole depth varies from 0.5 to 2.5 meters. Two polyethylene pipes 100mm in diameter were pulled there. The works were complicated by a lot of underground communications, including 10000V cables. The works were made and completed for 4 hours.

    A bore hole was made by the HDD method in Volgodonsk by the order of OOO PSK Universalstroy. The work was made for water supply system laying.
    The type of soil is loamy soil (consisting of 80% of clay).
    The hole length was 30 meters, the maximum hole depth was 2 meters; a steel pipe 325mm in diameter was pulled. The work was complicated by the weather conditions: slush, snowstorm, the air temperature was 4 degrees below 0, the wind speed was 12m/sec. The works were done and completed for 8 hours.

Horizontal Directional Drilling Machine UGNB-4

    The OOO NPK Gidrofob Remsvyazmontazh put the self-propelled Horizontal Directional Drilling Machine UGNB-4 into production in 2008. The machine UGNB-4 has an important difference – in contrast to UGNB-3M4 it doesn’t require any working ditch, and the machine is self-propelled (track-type).
    The machine allows to carry out fully-automatic Horizontal Directional Drilling at a distance up to 300m with further enlargement up to 600mm.
